It was slow food, fast cars indeed as Ital Auto’s most loyal clients met world-renowned chef Massimo Bottura at his new restaurant, Torno Subito, at the lifestyle enclave at Dempsey on March 24.
The Modena native treated Singapore’s Ferraristi to his playful and vibrant interpretation of Italian cuisine as he engaged in lively interaction with the guests over lunch and signed copies of his new book, entitled Slow Food, Fast Cars.
Torno Subito is inspired by the Golden Age of Italian cinema and summers along the Adriatic Riviera, bringing together the innovative use of ingredients that celebrate the specialties of the Emilia-Romagna region, from balsamic vinegar of Modena, to cured meats and fresh pasta - where Massimo and Ferrari founder Enzo hail from.
The lunch featured a multi-course menu showcasing the playful creations of Torno Subito with wine pairing that accentuates the taste of Modena and to underline why Bottura, whose Modena restaurant Osteria Francescana was ranked first in The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2016 and 2018.
To make it an extra joyous occasion for all, news filtered through that Scuderia Ferrari had finished 1-2 in the Australian Grand Prix, which sparked celebrations in the dining hall.
