The futuristic Ferrari SF90 Spider was in Singapore for a period of private viewing from May 15 to 24.

Decked in glorious Giallo di Lancio paint, the convertible version of the SF90 Stradale promises the same breathtaking performance of its coupe sibling with the added excitement of open-top motoring.

As noted by Dieter Knechtel, President of Ferrari Far East and the Middle East, the technology-laden SF90 Stradale and Spider are Ferrari's "redefinition of a supercar".

Guests and media, who viewed the car with the necessary safety precautions in place, were impressed by the many intricate touches of this Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) that produces a whopping total of 1,000hp thanks to its V8 petrol engine and three electric motors. Of special note was the car's Retractable Hard Top (RHT) mechanism, which folds the roof neatly in just 14 seconds at low speeds.

As an added treat, the entire RHT system is so compact that the designers are still able to proudly display the rear-mounted V8 engine under a glass screen. The SF90 Spider has been designed with performance and enjoyment in mind. Looking at the buzz it generated over two weeks of private viewing, this Prancing Horse can spark joy even when it is stationary.
